Voting Strategy of Vibes' Winners Selection

First, I would love to apologize for posting in writing that's not related to the #vibes community in my last post on Hive. That was my first post in the vibes community and it wasn't curated. It's often said that “Correction is the best teacher”.
So, now I've learned that anything writing posted in the Vibes community should be related to community affairs.

So for today, I decided to talk about the community method of deciding the vibes winners after careful selection by the Judge(s).

In the vibes community, I've come to realize that after every winner's announcement and declaration of the beginning of a new week of the contest, the next post by the community administrator is the post containing the voting poll. I then asked myself some questions and at the same time tried answering them.

1: Is the voting opportunity only limited to hive account bearers?

2: Do votes help in identifying the deserving winners of the Vibes music contest?

MY ANSWERS
If the room for voting the Judges ‘ selected winners of the vibes music contest is only limited to those who own a hive account, it's very nice in some way but also not making the method of selection completely unbiased.

To break things down, I would say that if voting is only open to Hive account owners, it would cut down on cheats from bagging many votes they don't deserve. Anyone could just forward the voting poll link to friends on different social media platforms and bag many votes. Then, the winner's selection would have become “the more friends, the more winning potential”, rather than based on others’ judging of one's performance. It's a nice strategy and I must commend the community for that.

But there's one thing I would love to add to what I just said. Hive is a very wide blockchain and outside the hive, many people have formed communities and groups to socialize probably on Discord or even WhatsApp and TG. During voting, a nominee has the right to share the voting poll link in any of the communities and ask for voting favors. So in this case, some people vote based on “familiarity and being kind or let's say influence” and not on quality performance. This makes me feel that “some” nominees who end up winning sometimes have their backups.

I would also love to commend the community admins for not making room for outsiders(those who don't belong to the Hive ecosystem) to participate in the voting process. This can also make them want to register, participate, and try their luck.

I guess all I've written above is enough to answer my two questions above. I've come to realize that voting opportunities are only open to Hive account owners and it's a great idea. And also, in some cases, I would say that votes aren't a “completely fair” assessment of winners of the Vibes contest.

MY SUGGESTION
I wouldn't feel satisfied if I only wrote about my feelings on the winner's selection strategy and didn't give some suggestions for improvement.
For me, I feel that every week, some honorable individuals on Hive who can be reached out to should also be given chances to vote. I'm sure they won't be biased at all. At least twenty of them, some like lordbutterfly, verbal-d, theycallmedan, acidyo, galenkp, and many others to be mentioned.

It's just my suggestion, and that's possible if these honorable individuals would want to vote.

Just like my teachers often told us in school, “Every man should be open to corrections because we are all humans and not completely perfect”. I'm a human and I do welcome corrections as this is just what I've noticed and decided to write about it as well as drop suggestions.

Thank you for reading.
