5 minutes freewrite on the prompt: I don't belong

Good day friends! I feel happy having the opportunity to share my writing on today's prompt with everyone.

Theme: I don't belong

Julie, a beautiful girl who lets low self esteem eat her up slowly.
Julie got admission into a primary school in the neighborhood. The school's biggest reputation is that of academic excellence and that was the reason Julie's Mom had to register her there.

Julie is an intelligent girl though, but low self esteem makes her a reserved person and that kind of affects her academic life as she was always shy to ask questions on things she didn't understand in class.

After the first two CAs and the results were announced publicly in class, Julie began to know the more intelligent students in class, those who scored higher marks than her.
At home, Julie's Mom would always advise her to make friends with those intelligent pupils who are focused but the low self esteem in her would always tell her, “I don't belong here.”

As the exam period approached, the pupils often visited the reading room during their free times to prepare and revise what they've read either at home or in the library. So one day, while Julie was alone revising, some group of girls, “the intelligent ones” came and sat on the same table she was.
After some time, Julie started feeling uncomfortable and within her, she was like “I don't belong here.” She left them because most of the points and topics the girls were revising on seemed strange to her and secondly, she felt they were better and more beautiful than her (that's the low self esteem).

But as time went on, Julie began to realize the need to catch courage, socialize and stop living in fear. This marked the beginning of Julie's better life but at this point, boys began to throng to her desk, lol.
