¡Hola! Espero que estén teniendo un día increíble. Hoy les quiero compartir mi primer día en el Seminario de Fundamentos y Diseño de Audio en Caracas, Venezuela.

Este seminario de dos días fue impartido por el Ingeniero Oscar Barrientos, quien vino desde México y es soporte técnico de la empresa Meyer Sound. Se llevó a cabo en la increíble sala Ríos Reyna del Teatro Teresa Carreño.

Para darles un poco de contexto a quienes no conocen este mundo, Meyer Sound es una de las empresas más grandes e innovadoras de audio profesional. Poseen laboratorios donde realizan una gran cantidad de experimentos y avances tecnológicos para mejorar la experiencia del usuario en todo tipo de conciertos y festivales musicales. Sus equipos son muy caros pero de muy alto nivel.

Recuerdo que hace aproximadamente 8 años, Oscar nos dio un taller cuando vino a calibrar el sistema Meyer que se encuentra en la sala Ríos Reyna. En esa ocasión, la asistencia fue poca, pero esta vez fue una sorpresa para mí y para todos ver la cantidad de profesionales de nuestra área que se acercaron a este evento. Fue un éxito total y, como pueden ver en las primeras fotos, la cola fue gigante. En nuestra área, estamos acostumbrados a ser un nicho pequeño y selecto, pero esta vez nos dimos cuenta de que cada vez hay más personas interesadas en aprender sobre nuestra área.

El evento comenzó con una bienvenida por parte del dueño de audioconcept, una empresa de venta de equipos de audio profesional que se encargó de organizar este evento. También nos dio la bienvenida otra persona encargada de ventas en Meyer Sound y, finalmente, Oscar nos dio la bienvenida y se presentó ante todos los asistentes.

Este primer día fue "básico", Oscar nos habló sobre todos los equipos que íbamos a utilizar durante estos dos días del seminario, incluyendo software y hardware. Pero por decisión propia de Oscar, decidió que el primer día fuera de fundamentos del sonido, para que todos pudiéramos entender de la mejor manera posible las herramientas que se iban a utilizar. Nos habló sobre qué es el sonido, sobre los aspectos físicos que corresponden al sonido y los equipos para así poder sacarle el mejor provecho al conocimiento más avanzado que compartiría con nosotros.

Fue un día bastante largo; el evento debía empezar a las 9 am, pero debido a la cantidad de personas, se tuvo que retrasar y comenzar a las 10 am, lo que hizo que el almuerzo también se retrasara, al igual que el regreso de los participantes luego de almorzar. Debido a todo eso, terminamos saliendo casi a las 6 pm, si mal no recuerdo.

Este primer día fue bastante denso y pesado para muchos; incluso hubo chistes sobre algunas personas que se quedaban dormidas. Pero para mí fue muy interesante y provechoso; pude pulir las bases de mi conocimiento al respecto, me dejó con ganas de saber más y muy emocionado por el segundo día.

Audio Fundamentals and Design Seminar in my city 🎤🎶

Hello! I hope you're having an incredible day. Today, I want to share with you my first day at the Audio Fundamentals and Design Seminar in Caracas, Venezuela.

This two-day seminar was conducted by Engineer Oscar Barrientos, who came all the way from Mexico and is a technical support specialist from Meyer Sound company. It took place at the amazing Ríos Reyna hall of the Teresa Carreño Theater.

For those unfamiliar with this field, Meyer Sound is one of the largest and most innovative companies in the professional audio industry. They have laboratories where they conduct numerous experiments and technological advancements to enhance the user experience in all kinds of concerts and music festivals. Their equipment is quite expensive but of very high quality.

I remember that about 8 years ago, Oscar gave us a workshop when he came to calibrate the Meyer system in the Ríos Reyna hall. At that time, the attendance was low, but this time it was a surprise for me and everyone to see the number of professionals from our field who attended this event. It was a total success, and as you can see in the first photos, the line was huge. In our field, we are used to being a small and select niche, but this time, we realized that there is a growing interest in learning about our area.

The event started with a welcome from the owner of audioconcept, a company that sells professional audio equipment and organized this event. Another person responsible for sales at Meyer Sound also welcomed us, and finally, Oscar welcomed and introduced himself to all the attendees.

This first day was "basic"; Oscar talked to us about all the equipment we would be using during these two days of the seminar, including software and hardware. However, Oscar decided that the first day would be about sound fundamentals, so that we could better understand the tools we would be using. He spoke about what sound is, the physical aspects related to sound, and the equipment to make the most of the advanced knowledge he would share with us.

It was quite a long day; the event was supposed to start at 9 am, but due to the number of people, it had to be delayed and started at 10 am, which also pushed back lunchtime and the return of participants after lunch. Because of all that, we ended up leaving at almost 6 pm, if I remember correctly.

This first day was quite dense and heavy for many; there were even jokes about some people falling asleep. But for me, it was very interesting and beneficial. It allowed me to refine the fundamentals of my knowledge in the subject and left me eager to learn more, very excited for the second day.
