Liam and I had a fight and I told him we should end things because the relationship didn't progress, and it was stagnant, but he took it too hard, and left the apartment.

I don't know what he is doing these days, he is very suspicious. It was just the other day that I found some books hidden under the bed about magic and the dark arts. I think he is studying magic, which I do not approve. This was one of the reasons I wanted to break up with him.

When Liam finally got back to the apartment, I announced that he should take all of his stuff and go to his friend's house.

"I need some time alone and away from you! You should go to your friend's house for a while. I want to think clearly for a while!" I said coldly, without any emotion.

" You are a proud woman, I can't believe you are doing this to me! You can't do this to me! Not right now, when I need your company more than anything in the whole world!" Liam said angry and upset.

Liam was upset because he just lost his best friend, Michael. Michael got into a car accident and died a few days ago.

"I know what to do to you to learn to respect someone who is mourning a loved one," Liam shouted and started to gather some of his stuff.

"What possibly can you do to me! Don't tell me you're going to hex me!" I replied with a smirk.

" That's exactly what I am going to do to you. You asked for it! I will make you suffer," Liam shouted, closing the door.

I laughed and brushed this off. I was glad our relationship was over. I couldn't rely on him for anything. It was not a healthy relationship, and threatening me to put a hex on me proved to me that this relationship is meant to be over.

The next morning, as usual, I made my morning coffee, but when I tried to sip, no liquid went inside my mouth. I tried several times, but I couldn't sip my coffee. It was strange. After a few hours, I felt a hot sensation in my lips and when I looked at my face inside the mirror, I saw that my lips swelled so bad. At first, I thought it is an allergic reaction and I went to the doctor. The doctor prescribed some medication for me, but the swelling never stopped.

It finally hit me that it's Liam's doing. That the swelling is the result of a hex. I quickly called my friend and told her what is going on. She suggested that we reverse the spell's energy to make Liam to have a taste of his own medicine. But how? We didn't know how to do magic, and we didn't know anyone who could do it.
