There is a first time for everything

Hello everyone, it's good to be here again and welcome to this week hive naija weekly activity. It's been a while I participate in this community contest because of pregnancy and child bearing. I think giving birth can make you to be lazy but here I am again and I am so happy to be here with you guys, I hope you are all doing great.

My first time travelling from my village to the city, then it was like I'm traveling out of the country because everything was so new to me because then I have never travelled outside my town before not to talk of my state and i was still this naive little girl who only thought about her grandma cooking and nothing more so everything was new to me.

My eldest step sister gave birth in Lagos and her mother in law was not around, there was nobody to stay with her and take care of her and since I was available she asked me to come and help her out. When they told me about me going to Lagos, I was so excited and started telling all my friends about it and they are even practicing how to impress those that I want to go and meet with me so that they won't call me a local girl.

Everything I did starting from my dressing was all to impress people I'm going to meet because I was told that people living in that area are high class not until I get there and saw that there is really nothing special or important there but damn, that was my first time travelling alone and it was so nerve wrecking. I was taking to the park by my grandma and was given the address on how to reach their side and since I already have the number of the person I want to go and meet put my mind at peace a little.

They have already arranged for someone to come and pick me at the park but the plan doesn't go as it is because the bus I entered have faults on the way and we were delayed a little more than usual so I have to find my way on my own. Immediately I reached the park, I called them and I was directly to take another bus but I don't know where to go and I don't want to ask. I stand in one place for like 30 minutes before I swallowed my pride and asked a passer by where I can get the bus to my destination and I eventually found my way to their place.

What others will say almost implicates me and since then, I learnt my lesson to let go of my pride and just ask for destination if I don't know my way , I'm just about the best time around. It was my first time travel alone and I also learnt my lesson for it being a first time and alone and since then I have been wondering how it will be to travel out of the country and I know it won't be like the first time.
