Splinterlands Art Contest | Ever-Hungry Skull

1000085136.jpg

Sometimes, the skulls of dead vampires are brought back to life through dark magic, this magic allows the vampire's spirit take over the skull again. These skulls are then used in evil rituals, to gather secrets, or even as creepy jokes by necromancers. The spirits don’t like being trapped, but they cooperate, hoping they’ll get a new body someday.

Even in this form, the skulls are still bloodthirsty and ruthless, just like they were as vampires. They lack empathy and can be very tricky, using clever words and strategies to get what they want.

PROCESS

It's been months since I entered for this contest, I prefer to enter with digital art but my laptop has been bad for quite sometime and I'm planning on getting it replaced soon. Anyway, instead of waiting, I've decided to enter with what I have which is sketchbook and ink so here's my drawing which my entry for the splinterlands art contest. The Ever hungry skull is one card I need never thought I would recreate because I find drawing skulls difficult but here we are. I struggled with this but I'm glad with the final result...

Great work, @leeendah! The rough shading is also very well done and gives the skull an extra eerie touch.
I love seeing non-digital art here for a change. :-)
