Would I keep a damaging secret

This is my take on damaging secrets,

I believe they should not be groomed let alone kept, but before I go further on my opinion, what is secret?

secret is something that is kept or unseen or unknown by others, not even those close to you

if a close friend or family member should trust me with a secret that could damage someone that i care about, then i have to warn the other person vividly but without letting he/she know who told me just to avoid enimity

then I will have to be very careful of the other person who told me those secrets but without him noticing it
because I see this as a very tricky situation that one must tend with knowledge and care

if the person knows that I know the other person the secret he told me could damage' then why tell me?

it sure looks like a trap to test me maybe i am trustworthy, take for instance a close friend of mine tells me that he plans on killing my other friends sister, and he is saying it with all seriousness, why do you think he is telling me of his plan, his secret, I mean he is not suppose to tell me, secrets are not meant to be spilled

and I think that friend could also be dangerous to me even.

if I could not directly tell the other person then I would give them clues or warnings, at least I owe them that much
but I can't possibly stand by and do nothing when I know a loved and close one is in danger, if the other person wants his secret guided then he wouldn't tell me in the first place

telling me his damaging secret could mean two things, it's either he told me to test me or so that i could join him

*i will clearly help the other person who the secret could damage because if I didn't and the expected happens then I may never be able to forgive myself knowing I could have done something to prevent the damage

its a risk I am willing to take, I mean it's better I lose the friendship of a close person than contribute to the damage of anothers life

there is really nothing bad in losing a friendship of 30yrs if it's for the right cause, friends are also one of them colourful folks that could betray you at any given moment as far as it satisfies their greed

after all It is said that to get a good enemy choose a friend, he knows where to strike.

saving a friend from a damaging secret is one of the toughest and noble thing to do.
