Advice I Would Give To A New User Just Joining The Hive Blockchain

Joining Hive blockchain is one of the best decisions you can make if you are into writing, creating, or just sharing your thoughts with people from different walks of life. When I first joined, everything looked somehow confusing at the beginning, but with time I got used to it. So if you're a new user just coming in, here are some few advises I will give you from my own little experience.

  1. Be Consistent
    This one is very important. The Hive blockchain rewards people that are active and consistent. You don’t have to post every single day, but try to be regular with your post and engagement. If you disappear for long, it might affect how you grow here. Even if it’s commenting on people’s posts or just saying hello in communities, it helps you build your presence. Hive is more like a long journey, so the more consistent you are, the better you grow.

  2. Watch Your RC (Resource Credits)
    Many new users don’t know about RC until they run out of it. That can be frustrating. RC is like the fuel that powers your actions on Hive. Without it, you can’t post, comment, vote, or even follow someone. So when starting, try not to do too many activities at once. If your RC is low, rest a bit and allow it to recharge. Also, as you power up more Hive, your RC will increase too.

  3. Engage More, Don’t Just Post and Go
    It’s not enough to just drop your post and run away. Hive is a social blockchain, and engagement is very important. Reply to comments on your posts, go to other people’s post, drop a comment, follow people, join communities that interest you. You’ll be surprised how much connection and growth you’ll get just from engaging.

  4. Join Communities That Match Your Interest
    Hive has different communities like IndiaUnited, LeoFinance, HiveLearners, and many more. Find those that align with what you love doing and participate there. IndiaUnited especially is one community that is very supportive and welcoming, so you’re lucky if you found yourself there early enough.

  5. Don’t Focus Too Much on Earning at the Beginning
    Yes, we all want to earn, but in your early stage try not to make that your only goal. Focus more on learning, connecting, building your account, and improving your content. The rewards will come later when you’ve grown your presence and reputation.

  6. Ask Questions When You’re Confused
    Don’t be shy to ask. Everyone was once new. You can ask in the comments section or join Hive Discord servers where people are always willing to help. Also, reading other users' posts can each you a lot.

  7. Power Up When You Can
    Try to power up some of your earnings into Hive Power. This will increase your voting strength and RC, and also show that you are committed to the growth of the blockchain.

    In conclusion, Hive is not just about blogging or posting, it's about building something meaningful. So take your time, grow slowly, don’t compare yourself to others, and you’ll do just fine. Welcome to Hive and best of luck on your journey!
