Maureen stared in surprise as she spotted her friend Doris in the middle of the bustling market. She quickly made her way through the crowd to where Doris was standing, holding her tiny baby close to her chest. Concern written all over her face, Maureen spoke up.

“Doris, what are you doing here at the market? I thought you just gave birth last week. Why are you out in this crowd with a one-week-old infant, especially under this scorching sun? Don’t you realize how delicate a newborn’s skin is? It shouldn’t be exposed to such harsh sunlight or this kind of environment,” she said gently but firmly.

Doris, visibly tired and a little flustered, sighed deeply before responding. “Maureen, I honestly didn’t have a choice. There’s no one at home to help me with anything. I need to cook something for myself and my family, but we’ve run out of food. The kitchen is completely empty. I couldn’t just sit at home with nothing to eat, and I definitely couldn’t leave my baby all alone. That’s why I had to bring her with me, even though I know this isn’t ideal.”

Maureen looked at her friend with empathy, realizing the difficult situation Doris was in. The realities of motherhood, especially without support, were clearly weighing heavily on her.
Maureen said to her "I wish i can be of help to you, next time whenever you need something from the Market, give me a call i will assist you with it"
