The content should reflect integrity, public interest, and accountability, not just political image-building.

Furthermore, vlogs open up new opportunities for the public to monitor and evaluate the actions of their leaders. With greater access to their daily work and decisions, citizens are better positioned to hold officials accountable and ensure they act in the people's best interest.

TikTok has become one of the most powerful media platforms, with Indonesia leading as the country with the largest number of users—around 157 million. Public officials increasingly use TikTok to share their programs and connect with citizens. However, when their content or policies fail to reflect public interests, the response from viewers can be intense and immediate.

Indonesian social media users are highly vocal and expressive. If public officials ignore or oppose public demands, they often face harsh criticism and backlash online. This digital pressure can be challenging, forcing officials to be more transparent, responsive, and careful in their communication.

As a conclusion, public officials should stand with the people in their policies. Social media can become a boomerang if the policies provide no benefit to the public.
