Just For Fun
I spend the night by the lake, fishing under the stars. I don’t catch any fish, but I don’t mind. I feel peace in the quiet water and the soft wind. I listen, I breathe, I smile. I find comfort in nature’s calm presence.
A cigarette accompanies me as I wait by the lake. The fish seem reluctant, but I don’t mind. I will wait. The pole of the electrical wire stands like a silent friend beside me.
The fishing rod rests on the fence by the lake. I sit quietly, watching, waiting. The starlight reflects on the water, gently shaken by the breeze—or maybe a fish. It tests my patience, but I remain, hoping for a sign.
While others catch big fish, I feel a flicker of anger—why not me? I’ve been here longer, more patient. Still, I hold on to hope. I believe the night isn’t over yet. Luck might still turn and find me waiting.
I sit and wait, watching the still water, quiet and calm. I believe my moment will come. One day, I’ll pull a big fish too, and all this waiting will be worth it.
Thanks for watching and sharing this quiet night with me. I haven’t caught a fish yet, but the hope is still alive. If I do get one, I’ll be sure to post it in the comments. Stay tuned and wish me luck!
