Still Life Flower in Vase Oil Pastel

Hello, how are you? My oil pastel is getting the attention it's craving for, and I am very happy about that my brother use to own this oil pastel that is why some of them are small or comes with a lot of pieces, before they have their boxes and then why not sort it off by color to make it easier to find the color I wanted to use so yeah took my time to remember my origami skill in making small boxes made by paper but naa~~ my memory is kind off not strong anymore so by the help of tutorials so yeah. I am back with oil pastel drawing again. I am kind of enjoying it, so yeah, I look for a reference online to what I am going to draw, so I see this flower in a vase, one, so yeah, you're the one, wahahaha.

The Process:

For the line art, when I am too confident in my drawing skills, I always draw in a prompto without using a pencil and eraser. I just let my hand do its work LOL.

As I am going to add color to the line art, I remembered, oh shoot, I don't have enough shades of blue on my oil pastels, I was like just do it XD.

As long as I have shades of light to dark green, it will be okay. After I layer the line art with blue shades, green is the next one.

Just a little hint of brown first.

To make the drawing pop out more, black is the solution to that problem.

Layering it with green shades of oil pastels.

Starting to add layers of shades of blue too, and then I am starting to add layers to the background too, to tone up the drawing.

To not make the background look flat, I added blue on the first layer, and then I layered black on top of it, and just to the previous process, I did until the drawing is more like the reference.

Using this clay tool, I scrape the drawing to add texture to it, You can skip this part if you want. I just want to be extra LOL.
