Still Here Still Life 123 Oil Pastel

Hello, how are you? I've been behind on the challenge, so I will continue to do it hehehe, they're on their break, so maybe after I finish catching up, I can join in time again. The weather this weekend and now is rainy, and it is a perfect time to draw.

Materials I Used:

Let's Draw!

First, I sketch the reference using a 2B pencil.

After that, I use this brown oil pastel to outline the vase, outlining it first makes it easier to layer later.

Next is to outline the shape of the flower using shades of yellow, it is not supposed to be perfect as long as it is shaped on its own.

Next is I used this dark green to outline the stem of the flower. I outline it as lightly as possible to make layering later easier.

Next is I scribble where the shadow will be placed using the color black oil pastel. Just go with the flow.

For this part, I am starting to add a layer of oil pastel on the vase.

In this part, I am starting to add a layer of oil pastel on the background.

---

For this part, I started adding detail to the flower, and I am adding more depth to the background to make it look the subject pop out more.

I finish the drawing with white oil pastel to blend the parts that need blending.
