Still Here Still Life 120 Oil Pastel
Hello, how are you? Another week of Still Here Still Life is pretty cute and mini, and I enjoy this week's challenge. I've been eyeing this oil pastel for a long time now, and I think I should reward myself. I worked hard this past month, and I do enjoy using oil pastel hehe. If you're interested in joining in weekly challenge, you can.
Materials I Used:
- Oil Pastel
- 200 gsm paper
- Eraser
- Mechanical pencil 2b
Let's Draw!
First things first, I drew the line art of the still life, and I don't pressure myself to draw exactly the reference, but close enough.
Because most of the references are white or in light pastel colors, I use this gray oil pastel to outline first.
For this part, I started to draw each thing in the reference with its respective colors, and then I started to fill up and layer the colors.
To make it more semi-realistic, I started to add shadows on the still life, and the pencil line art is starting to fade. That is the advantage of the oil pastel the pencil line art will get covered up once you layer it with oil pastel.
Add some detail and fix something, and we are done!
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
