Manga With Alamang Street Food Handmade Clay Keychain!

Hello, how are you? When I was in elementary school, before we walked home with my friend from school, we always bought snacks and ate them on the way home, and one of them was Mangga with bagoong, an unripe mango with shrimp paste.
I remember we got close with the woman who sells that food because we always buy food from her, so whenever I happen to pass by my old school, those memories flash back.
This street food is now everywhere, and different versions of how they cut or make the sauce from it. But the iconic look of it is the one with a BBQ stick, so you can hold it without touching the sauce, because the second you touch the shrimp paste, the smell of it stays, I don't know for how long LOL.

- Alcohol
- Qtip
- Soft Pastels
- Petrolium Jelly
- Makeup Brush

Craft Time!
First thing I am going to do is to condition the clay by kneading it with both hands until the texture is smooth and easy to work with. I use this lime green color for the main body of the clay.
To make the clay equally in size, I weigh it to the exact weight I wanted.
Next is I shape using my hand into a bean-like shape.
And then I am going to make a dent in the middle using the tip of the makeup brush, making sure that the tip is smaller than the clay. Now it looks like an unripe mango without a seed and cut in half. Do the same thing on the other.
Using the needlepoint tool, I added texture to the clay. If you don’t have a needlepoint tool, any pointy thing you have at home is good.
And then I am going to use a toothpick as a BBQ stick for the actual thing. I poke the toothpick into the clay carefully, making sure to poke it exactly in the middle to avoid poking it out unevenly.
Now I have mango on the stick.
After that, I am going to add shade to the clay to make it more realistic-looking. I use soft pastel and a makeup brush to let them do the magic.
This is what it looks like. It is not that noticeable, but it is when you look at it LOL.
Next is I am going to make the shrimp paste. What I do is I use brown clay and then smooth it out by adding petroleum jelly to soften the clay, and then I mix it using any tool use have, and then I add extra color to it.
Then I added that mixture into the middle of the mango clay I made.
Then I added chili bits, which a red clay that I already baked and cut into just like chili flakes.
Before I bake it, I am going to add the eyepin, which is the part where the keychain will be attached.
After that, I place the clay onto a silicone mat and then preheat the oven, and after that, bake the clay at the temperature and time the instructed on the packaging. And let the clay cool off before proceeding to the next process.
Next is I made a mixture of urine and brown soft pastel, mixing them until well combined.
Using the toothpick, I added the mixture of UV Resin and soft pastel mixture to the clay to imitate the flowing shrimp paste, just like how the vendors sell it.
Then I cure it under UV Lamp for about 5 minutes or more, or until there is no sticky feeling to it.
Next is I am going to add the keychain. I use these two pliers to secure the keychain. What I do is I hoop in the jump ring into the eyepin.
And then lock the jump ring using the two pliers, I make sure not to let any gap when I close it to prevent the clay from falling.
Now, I have this miniature Mangga with Bagoong!

Photoshoot time!
