How I Cook Creamy and Cheesy Carbonara
One time, I was watching some random YouTube videos, and I came across this woman who eats a huge amount of food in just a small amount of time, and I got curious about what other food she ate, and I saw this carbonara, oh by the way she cook her food which is great and entertaining too, so me who is a curious person tried her recipe. Since then, I only cook carbonara in that way she cooks it. And since then, when my brother tasted it, he liked it, and he always asks me to cook it for him.
Ingredients I Used:
- 900g of Pasta
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
- 2 tbsp Salt
- 4 Litre of Water
- 3 Bulb of Garlic
- 8 Eggs
- 250g of Bacon
- 2 250 ml All Purpose Cream
- 160g of Cheese
- Pinch of Parsley
- 1 tsp of Ground Pepper
Cooking Time!
Cooking Time!
First is I am going to boil water for the pasta. I fill up the pot with water.
Then I added 1 tbsp of salt and 2 tbsp of cooking oil, the purpose of this is to make the pasta more flavorful and not going from sticking to the pot when it is boiling. But some say adding salt makes the water boil faster?
I set the stove to high heat and closed the lid to make it boil more easily.
While the water is still into way on a boil, I prepare the garlic, peel it off and then process it in a mini food processor. Set it aside.
Then I chopped the bacon into this size and set it aside too.
After that, I grated the cheese using the cheese grater.
Then I crack the egg into the bowl where the cheese is.
Using the spoon, I mix all together until well combined and set it aside for use later.
Now the water is boiling, so I carefully add the pasta.
After adding in the pasta, do not break the pasta in half because that is not good LOL, just let the pasta soften and you can already mix it up using the spatula and let it boil until al dente.
After that, when the pasta is cooked, I run the water through the strainer.
Then I drain the pasta and I cool it off using the running water to stop it from cooking, and let it sit aside for use later.
For this part, I am going to cook the bacon until half-cooked, I like it not crispy, so that the flavor of the bacon is still there. I set aside a little bit for garnish for later.
I cleaned the pan I used, and then I added the cooked bacon in again.
After that, I added the minced garlic and let it sauté for a minute.
After that, I added the all-purpose cream. I make sure that the heat is on low.
And then I season it with 1 tbsp of salt and 1 tsp of pepper.
After that, I added the cooked pasta and mixed it until well combined.
After that, I turned off the heat and added the mixture of cheese and egg. Mix them until well combined, and wa-la, I have carbonara. Turning off the stove to avoid the egg from cooking.
Garnish it with dried parsley and the bacon I set aside earlier. Plate and serve hot. Happy Eating!
