Hotdog Melted Cheese in Bun Handmade Clay Keychain

Hotdog with melted cheese and bun.gif

Hello, how are you? There is one menu from Jollibee that has been phased out years ago, and I remembered I always ordered that whenever we ate out, and now completely phased out i think, due to low demand and sales. So if I have the energy to make one, I will soon, but not today, as I always say hahaha.

So I decided to sculpt it using clay ofcourse hehe. So I hope you like it.

Materials I Used:

  • Clay
  • Weighing Scale
  • Clay Cutter
  • Gum Container
  • Toothbrush
  • Soft Pastels
  • Brush
  • Needle Tool
  • Clear Glue
  • Clay Tool
  • UV Resin
  • Mask
  • Disposable Gloves
  • UV Lamp
  • Keychain
  • Pliers
  • Oven
  • Dotting Tool

Craft Time!

Condition the clay with my hand until the texture is smooth. And then weigh it. I am making the bun first.

3.JPG

4.JPG

I like to shape it into a ball first, just to get rid of any creases and to make the clay smooth when I shape it into a bun shape.

5.JPG

6.JPG

Then I shape it into a long bun, and then I will use this clay cutter.

7.JPG

9.JPG

Then I slice it in the middle, but not completely.

10.JPG

11.JPG

To add texture to I use a toothbrush. I dab it around the bud and then to the middle cut.

12.JPG

13.JPG

I use soft pastels and a brush to add color to it.

14.JPG

15.JPG

For the hot dog, I use this light brown clay and shape it into a hot dog.

16.JPG

17.JPG

To add the texture to it, I use the needle tool to do the job.

18.JPG

19.JPG

Then I added just slightly shade of soft pastels into the hotdog, and then after that, this is what it looks like.

20.JPG

21.JPG

Then I added the hot dog to the slice I made earlier.

22.JPG

23.JPG

To make the grated cheese, I roll a thin sheet of clay and cut it into shredded pieces using the clay cutter. I like to pre-bake it so it will stay firm when it is time to put it above the bun and hot dog.

24.JPG

25.JPG

After that, I mix clear glue and light yellow clay.

27.JPG

28.JPG

Then I mix them until it became a melted cheese-like texture.

30.JPG

31.JPG

And then generously apply it onto the hot dog and bun using my clay tool.

32.JPG

33.JPG

And then I sprinkle that shredded cheese clay I made earlier.

36.JPG

37.JPG

For the ketchup, I mix clear glue and some red and orange soft pastel and mix.

38.JPG

39.JPG

Then I apply onto the top of the cheese.

40.JPG

41.JPG

Then I added the eyepin.

42.JPG

43.JPG

Bake it on time and temperature instructed on the packaging. Before I forget, make sure to preheat the oven first. And completely cool off the clay before proceeding to the next step.

45.JPG

46.JPG

I am still not satisfied with the melted cheese effect, so I added more. I mix UV Resin and soft paste, and mix them.

47.JPG

50.JPG

Then apply it into surface, and I pretty much did it to the ketchup too. LOL. And then cure it under the UV Lamp for a couple of minutes until fully cured.

52.JPG

53.JPG

Time to add the keychain, so I hoop the jump ring into the eyepin.

54.JPG

55.JPG

Then I lock it using the two pliers I have, and done!

It is a long that I am planning on making it and now it is the time, and I really love the result of it :D
