Handmade Worry Stone Polymer Clay Lanyard Strap: For My Anxious Self.

Hello, how are you? fews ago a strong typhoon going to landfall the part of Luzon and one of our place is one thing the typhoon going to hit and when I heard this kind of news the trauma from few years ago that made our municipality flooded and I saw some people posted online that "you never feel it until you experience it" something like that and yeah now I know the wind is like having a twister for hours and it added the sound of trees falling and the sound of tower is like a plane that is landing in our front yard, super scary and I am thankful I have my earphone with me because it blocked the eerie sound outside and thankful the typhoon is more on strong wind than rain.
So I feel my anxiety is eating me out lately and has made me shut down for days, and feeling my sensitivity is super high too LOL, so yeah, it has been a while since I felt this again. And to ease that, I saw this Worry Stone that is trending now in the craft community, and I need to try it instantly, and I decided to do it, and thanks to that, now I clean my desk from the dust of the typhoon a few days ago.

The Sketch and Prepping The Clay:
First, I sketch my design, which is inspired by our dog Mochi, and I label it with the color I should use. After that, I condition and prepare all the polymer clay colors I need.
Sculpting The Body:
I first shape the main part, which is the body. I just rolled some pastel pale yellow clay, and I shaped it into a ball.
And then I place that ball-shaped clay into a gum container and then press the middle to create a dent shape just like I did in the photo.
And then I clean the dust off with alcohol and a Q-tip.
Adding The Face And Shadings:
Then I added the eyes using the brown clay.
And then her eyebrows, which are black.
And then I shape the cheek.
And then the nose with black clay, and then I put that nose into the cheek I shaped earlier.
And for the tongue, I just use pinkish clay.
And then I shape the cheek with a combination of black and brown shades of soft pastels.
And then after that, I added it to the main body of the worry stone.
And for the ears, I shape two equal-sized pieces of clay into a triangle-like shape.
And color the lower tip of it with dark brown and black.
And then I added the tongue I shaped earlier.
After that, I added the ears I made earlier.
And then I added shades to the body.
It should look like this.
After that, I shape the hands, feet, and tail.
Then I added it to the body. I just press them carefully. I added the hands first.
Next are the feet.
And for the final is the tail, which I added shades to it but forgot to document it LOL.
And then I added another shade of color, and this is the final look.
Adding the Eyepin:
I decided to add eyepin because I am going to make it into a phone lanyard strap.
Baking The Clay:
And then I put on the silicone mat intended for clay, and then I make sure to prebake the oven first, and then set it to the temperature and time as the packaging said.
Let the clay cool down before proceeding to the next process.
Glazing Time:
While the clay is cooling down, I prepare the things I am going to use in advance.
I placed the into the cardboard wrap into foil I had made and then I added tape at the back so the process of applying is easier. Then I added the UV Resin.
Then I apply the resin using a brush.
Cure it under a UV Lamp for 5 minutes or more until the tackiness is gone.
Adding the Landyard Strap:
I added the lanyard strap by just clamping the lobster clamp into the eyepin.
Photo Time:
Before the sun went down, I hurriedly took photos as much as I could.
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
