Handmade Clay Keychain Strawberry Donut

Hello, how are you? My mom takes home donuts before, and I love my donut before chocolate or Bavarian, but after I tasted the strawberry flavor, I was like "this is the one" LOL.

I plan to go out by the end of the month to unwind. I think I need to breathe just a little bit. I was so desperate to go to Baguio hahaha. And this is not just to unwind but to get inspiration too LOL.

So, back to the topic, if I go out, the first thing I am going to buy is a strawberry donut, but not today, though, so to fill that craving, I guess I'll make it using clay today. I hope you like it.

Craft Time!

First thing to do is to condition the clay by kneading it by hand. If your clay is soft, it take short time to condition it if it's crumbly, you need time to condition it. Then I weigh the clay so that I will know what weight I want it to be.

After that, I shape the clay into a smooth circle.

Using the body of a paintbrush, I poke a hole in the middle. And then twisted it around to smooth it out.

Then, using this tree brush tool, I added texture to the clay.

Time to add the shade to add those. I am going to use soft pastel and a brush. I start with a light layer first and build the color layer by layer.

Now it is time to add the sweet glaze. What I do is I pour some of the liquid clay I made, I just measure it with my eyes, so yeah, LOL.

And then I added soft pastels and mix it.

Using a toothpick, I apply it to the clay.

And then I added sprinkles using colorful clay.

And then I am going to add Eyepin.

Place it on the silicone mat, and then I waited for the oven to preheat. After that, I bake the clay at the time and temperature that the packaging said.

Let the clay cool down, and then I pour UV Resin into the clay, and then I apply it using a brush.

And then I cure it under the UV Lamp.

To add the keychain, what I do is I put the jump ring with the keychain attached to it into the eyepin.

And then lock the jumpring using two pliers.
