Handmade Clay Keychain Orange Tanghulu.

Hello, how are you? There was this one time when I saw a tutorial on how to make tanghulu on my FYP. I take action and walk straight to our fridge to look for any fruit that I can use to make one, and I see we still have an orange, so yeah, I guess that will work. Watch the tutorial, and boom, made it for my family's taste. I guess they are curious to so they did taste it, pretty good.
So yeah, today I am going to show you how I make orange tanghulu, but it's made with clay with a keychain, yes, you heard me,e clay hehehe I like to challenge myself again and do it.
Materials I Used:
- Glass Sheet
- Translucent Clay
- Weighing Scale Portable
- Gum Container
- Toothpick
- Soft Pastels
- Makeup brush
- Eyepin
- Silicone Mat
- Oven
- UV Resin
- Needle Tool
- UV Light
- Disposable Gloves
- Pliers
- Keychain
Craft Time!
First, I condition the polymer until the texture of it is soft enough to work with. Conditioning is important to avoid any cracking on the clay when baking. And then after that, I weigh the clay I am going to use using the portable weighing.
After that, I shape them into balls just like I did in the photo.
After that, I sculpt them one by one into the shape of an orange piece.
After that, I poke the toothpick into the clay one by one.
Next, I added a shade of orange. I do it layer by layer make sure to patiently build the color to achieve the perfect shades of it.
After that, I am going to add the eyepin to the clay.
I put the clay on the silicone mat and then, while waiting for the oven to preheat, and after preheat, I bake the clay according to the instructions on the packaging. Let the clay cool down before proceeding to the next step.
For this part, I am going to add the white veins into the clay to imitate the real orange. What I do is I squeeze out UV Resin.
And then I added white soft pastel into that UV Resin and then mixed them well.
And then I use the needle tool to apply the mixture.
Now the clay is ready to be cured. I cured it under a UV Lamp for about 5 minutes or until the texture is no longer sticky. And then after that, I coat it again with UV Resin with a little mixture of brown soft pastel just to make it look like sugar that has been cook and then apply those again using a brush and cure it, and done.
To add the keychain, I put the jump ring inside the eyepin.
And then lock it using the two pliers.
Now I have orange tanghulu!
