Cooking Blog: Sarciadong Galunggong for Our Lunch

sarciadong galunggong.gif

Hello, how are you? I need to reset my sleeping schedule, I get sick easily, and my eyes are getting deep again, which doesn't look good at all LOL.

By the way, my mom bought a lot of tomatoes this week, and maybe the tomato price is low, and I am loving it because I was craving for sarsiado lately, and right timing, my mom bought Galunggong for our lunch, and my cravings are satisfied again.

What fish do you prefer for your sarciado?

Ingredients I Used:

  • Cup of Cooking Oil
  • 5 Galunggong
  • 3 tbsp. Fish Sauce
  • 4 Eggs
  • 2 tsp. All-in-one seasoning
  • 8 Tomatoes
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 1 Red Onion
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground Pepper
  • Onion Chives

Let's Cook!

I first marinate the fish with fish sauce to remove the fishy smell of the Galunggong and to make the fish more savory for about 5 minutes.

And then I season the egg with all-in-one seasoning. I added about a teaspoon of it. Mix until well combined.

In a hot pan, I added about a cup of cooking oil.

When the pan is hot enough, I add the fish and fry it until its texture turns crispy. Set it aside for later.

In the same pan, but I cleaned it. I added about 4 tablespoons of cooking oil.

And then I added the tomatoes. And cook it until it turns mushy.

After that, I added the garlic and red onion I cooked them until the aroma came out.

And then I added about a tablespoon of fish sauce.

Then I added the scrambled egg into the pan.

And keep stirring it until the egg texture forms into a solid.

After that, I added about 1/4 ground pepper. And continued mixing until the egg forms into a solid one. I like my sarsiado dry. When a crispy egg forms in the middle of the pan, you know you're doing it right, in my opinion, hehe.

And then I added some of my mom's onion chives. You can skip this part, but I like to add more green to it.

Then I add the fish I fried earlier and just mix them until all the fish is coated with it.

Serve hot and plated!
