Cooking Blog: First Time Cooking Pork Pochero and Beans

$1

Hello, how are you? Whenever my cousin comes into my room with his phone with his TikTok blasting on the speaker, I just know he will request a food that he is curious about, and I was like, okay, let's do that LOL. I will list the ingredients, and he will buy them at the market.

Sometimes, having my cousin here live with us is much easier because he always has food requests that we never tried or tried a long time ago, so yeah, kudos to him.

So what I am going to cook today is Pork Pochero. This is my first time cooking this

Ingredients I Used:

00.JPG

  • Cooking Oil
  • 2 Carrots
  • 6 Banana (saba)
  • Cabbage
  • 9 Long String Beans
  • 5 Potatoes
  • 1 kg Pork
  • 1 tsp. Ground Pepper
  • 1 Bulb Garlic
  • 2 Red Onion
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 250g Tomato Sauce
  • Water
  • 1 Pork Broth Cube
  • 2 Tbsp. Fish Sauce
  • 100g Hunts Pork and Beans
  • 1 Tsp. All in one Seasoning

Let's Cook!

In a hot pan, I added half a cup of cooking oil.

Then I added the potatoes, carrots, and banana (saba). I was in a hurry, so I fried them at the same time for about when browning started to appear on the veggies.

After that, I reduced the oil in the pan and left about a tablespoon, and then I added the pork cuts to the pan and cooked them for about 10 minutes. I like the pork crispy.

8.JPG

Then I added about 1/4 teaspoon of ground pepper for aroma.

9.JPG

10.JPG

After that, I am going to add the garlic and red onion and sautee them for about a minute or until the fragrance of the aromatics comes out.

11.JPG

12.JPG

Then I added the chopped tomatoes, cooking until the texture is mushy and soft.

13.JPG

14.JPG

Then, after that, I added 250g of tomato sauce into the pan and mixed everything until well combined.

15.JPG

16.JPG

I added 5 cups of water, or enough to drown the meat.

17.JPG

18.JPG

Then, to add more flavor to the food, I added a pork broth cube into the pan.

19.JPG

20.JPG

After that, I added two tablespoons of fish sauce.

21.JPG

22.JPG

Then let it cook for about 30 minutes with the lid on.

23.JPG

24.JPG

After that, I am going to add 100 g of hunts pork and beans into the pan.

25.JPG

26.JPG

Then I am going to add the carrots, potatoes, and bananas (saba) into the pan.

27.JPG

28.JPG

And then next is the cabbage and the long string beans.

29.JPG

30.JPG

I added more water to the pan so that the veggies would cook, so yeah, add water if necessary. I cook it for about 5 minutes untouched.

31.JPG

32.JPG

And then after 5 minutes, I mix them all and then cook them again for about 5 minutes, and add more water if necessary.

34.JPG

35.JPG

Then, to finish it up, I added about a teaspoon of all-in-one seasoning.

Look at how to prepare the ingredients and how to make it. I'm sure it can be done. It's strange that we don't have some of the ingredients that my country doesn't have.
