Bunny In Strawberry Clothes Gouache Painting

Hello, how are you? I was cleaning my art materials earlier, and I saw the gouache I bought years ago. I was planning on buying another gouache for me to practice with, and I am deciding on choosing the professional one, like holbein or the more budget-friendly one, the himi miya that I've been eyeing for a year.
I tried painting a cute bunny I saw online, using it, and I guess I got better from watching the artists I watch online, mind you, my whites are all gone, but I miraculously finished it LOL.
Materials I Used:
- 200gsm Paper
- Colored Pencil
- Gouache
- Container With Water
- Paint Brush
- Reference
Craft Time!
I sketch the reference first with a blue color pencil.
And then I start painting by doing the darkest parts first, which are the eyes, the nose, and the lip, and some parts of it first.
And then I start adding layers of strokes in shades of yellow, red, and green.
Then I added shadows to add dimension to the painting.
I am testing what background color I am going to add, so I did strokes of color first, and then I thought it would look good if I added, like, light violet as an accent color, but I guess I still need to practice more LOL.
I added highlights and some strokes of a darker color, and then I decided I would go to a mauve, purple, or violet color as a background.
And then I added the seeds of the sunflower, and then for the final touch, I added a black stroke outline. I am contemplating if I do it or not, I guess I like it hehe.
I think the higlights is not enough, so I added more, and the portrait ideed pop out.
Done! I hope you like it :D
Thank you for visiting, see you on my next blog. :D
