ASEAN Hive Community Challenge : Tropical Toasts, Dalgona Coffee, Coffee With a Twist
Hello, how are you? Coffee is one of the drinks I always drink, but since I feel like dying if I drink it every day, I only drink it occasionally or when I want to reward myself for not drinking it every day.
Yes, coffee gave me energy, but it has a side effect on me that I cannot explain, but I felt super drained the day after I drank it LOL.
Here in the Philippines, it doesn’t matter is the weather is cold or hot, we still have to drink coffee. I have been saying to myself, "coffee now palpitate later".
For my entry, I am going to make Dalgona Coffee, the coffee that got famous because of the pandemic. Which I discovered from scrolling social media.

- 1 tbsp Instant Coffee
- 2 tbsp Hot Water
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 1 cup of Milk
- 1 Cup of Ice
- Bottle Jar
- Whisk
- Mug
- Spoon

Let's Make Dalgona Coffee!
First, in a mug, I put in about a 1 tablespoon of coffee. This measurement is enough for one person to drink.
After that, I added 1 tablespoon of sugar.
After that, I added 2 tablespoons of hot water. Make sure that the water is boiling. Mix them using a spoon until they're mixed completely.
You can use a whisk like I do, or to make it easier, use a hand mixer to make life easier, but I cannot find my mixer.
What I do is hold the whisk in the middle of my two hands and twist it as fast as I can. I trust the process. If I feel tired, I rest for a second and then continue.
When the color turns from dark to light, the process is in the right way, and then when the consistency turns thick and foamy texture and when you lift it, it does not fall off, that is the consistency. I set it aside.
For this part, I added 1 cup of ice to the glass jar.
After that, I added 1 cup of milk. You can use any kind of milk.
Mix it with a spoon.
I grab the Dalgona mixture and use the spoon to add the top part.
I plate it as pretty as possible, and then I put in a steel straw. Drinking this with a straw is the best.
Mix! Mix! Mix!
This makes the coffee more creamy! Craving satisfied! :D

I remembered the first time I've tried it. I couldn't find the wisk so I did it with a spoon, surely it can say it didn't end good haha, the foamy part didn't appear. It was fun thou
