The Lost Post....

Anyone who's ever lost a post on Hive knows the frustration of it. What are you doing to me PeakD!?!🤬

I scheduled a post two nights ago and it no showed on my blog. I went digging around a bit 🧐 and could only find it in the "scheduled post" history folder. I scheduled it for 6:00am or maybe 7:00am as I always do, and yet it says that it was posted at 11:00am...🙄

Was it muted 🤔. Did I post in the wrong community and ruffle some feathers? 🤨 I didn't get a notification so I'm thinking not. The thought of a post being muted though really messes with your head a bit 🤯. I'm thinking that the whole thing was just a glitch or something 🫥. The frustrating part is that, not only did I not save the written portion, I also can't open the up the post from the scheduled history 😤. I guess that's just not an option on PeakD? R.I.P post 💀. What am I left to do but re-upload the photos and write the post out again from scratch... 😪. I would like some answers too 🤓. Anyone know of any issues that happened yesterday on PeakD or know of a way to salvage a post that is no longer in your scheduled or "draft posts" folder? Next question, do you get a notification when your post is muted, and does it not still show up in your "posts" tab of your blog? I'm pretty confused 😵‍💫 about this whole thing so let me know in the comments if you think of anything 🙂.

By the way, I thought that this post would be me rewriting the old one with a quick blurb about my frustration about the situation but its turned into a full on rant and a seeking of answers from the community post, so apologies for it being so shit 💩. Hey maybe I'll go back and see how many emoji's I can add in to give it some added flare...🤩 maybe that will help.

Well, thats it. Bye bye for now...😘

Thats a bit kak, Looks like it would have been a good one too!

I take a text copy of all my posts before posting them and have done for ages because every now and then when hitting post one would just go missing an it was super annoying!

Yeah I used to do that every time as well but haven't been recently. I think I'll start doing it again. I'm working on re-writing the post now but the effort is never the same the second time around lol

It always seems like it's never going to be as good as the original! I feel your pain!

Haha yes exactly. And there is a certain boredom that comes from doing the same thing twice.

On PeakD there's at least the error folder. I've had two drop in there that went into the seemingly ether. I think this lady might have it in there i let her know!

You should check yours to see if you’ve got any gremlins hiding there.

I accidentally deleted my whole post the other week when I was suppose to delete a sentence only, and peakd was so efficient that it auto save immediately before I could shout shxt. That was quite a few days work gone in a whiff and I can't be bothered to rewrite it again yet.

Have you tried another front end to see if it's there?

I can always mute your next post in my community if you want to see what happens 😉 😁

Have a great weekend

I know what you mean about the immediate auto save feature. Sometimes it works too well. I take a long time to write every single post also and feel the same way when they get deleted - can't be bothered to start over. Lol

mute your next post in my community if you want to see what happens 😉

Nooooooooo!!!!!!! Haha That's my nightmare 😱
😂

Ohh god next time hit CTRL Z on the keyboard to “undo”! I’ve done that myself, as long as you don’t leave the page entirely it should be cached there. Really painful lesson though lol

Oops that can be very annoying
Make sure you always copy and paste your posts before you leave the app or site
It will be better that way

16 - Not bad.

How frustrating. Sorry that happened. But since it did, I'm gonna practice saving my stuff again.

Oh, no! I feel your pain. That's the worst shit to happen.
Yeah, I'd definitely search the other frontends and hive.blocks.

I am typing on my mobile... Something that I never do.

I am curious as to what has happened to the copy of your post that was still in your scheduled folder. Is it still there by any chance?

I always use my mobile and it can be a bit of a struggle 😆 yet I keep doing it.

So the post is not in the scheduled folder but when I click on the history tab in that section I can see it and it says that it was posted but I can't click on anything to open it lol. It's weird. I've re-written the post now so I'll post it today and ive moved passed the loss of it all, but it was painful in the moment 😆

(Edited)

You should see it in the “errors” section of scheduled posts. I’ve had a few get lost and that’s where they end up. Give that a try! I recovered a post a year later with that LOL and i posted it! There could be an issue with the API or other thing that when the post went to leave the PeakD front end and hit the chain it failed, so it goes into the Error folder.

Yeah I did see it in the error section but I couldn't open it or anything to re-post it. I ended up just re-writing it.
