One Last Coffee
Today is Sunday. We have spent the weekend and the week prior, packing up most of our household belongings in preparation for our upcoming home renovation. It starts tomorrow in fact. They will be demo-ing the areas of construction in the morning! Among the items that we are packing and which I'll have to live without for a few months, is our espresso machine. As such, this will be my last coffee from it before we move in with my in laws, probably until close to the begining of July, if not longer.
I don't have a whole lot to say other than I'm savoring this coffee in the moment and enjoying it to its fullest. It may be the last good cup that I have for quite some time. Who knows?
I'm being mindful and enjoying the process of making it - grinding the beans, grooming and tamping the grounds, watching the pressure of the machine and the timing of the water being added. I'm mindful of the aroma of the brew and taste and mouthfeel. I'm glad to say that my last cup of coffee in our home turned out pretty nice. I don't have much more to say but I'll leave you with a few other photos of coffees that I've had over the past few weeks that I never got around to making a post about.
So, essentially, you're going on an extended vacation! You won't have any cooking or cleaning because your in-laws will be so thrilled to have you, right? Or will it be the opposite? 🤔😆
It's gorgeous!
The coffee looks so strong that I can almost taste it.
That is a great expresso machine there. I do miss the one I had when I lived in the Philippines.
I hope that you won't have to resort to instant coffee while you're away:)
Luckily our in laws like it when we stay with them, or they appear to. They never make us feel like weve over stayed our welcome or anything like that. We stayed with them for 3 months before moving to France too. At that time I did a lot of the cooking which they liked and I tried to do a lot of yard work to help out.
Good Lad 👏😁
The coffee looks good
I can tell that you had a nice time sipping the coffee
It was!
The most valuable gifts are those that are lovingly given with sincere friendship and respect and affection. Very nice cups that you share with us today.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.☕
Happy sunday.
Very true
Glad you like the mugs
You definitely have a lot of memories with this machine, I hope that the remodeling of your home does not extend and you can return to your perfect moments with coffee.
I hope so too!
All the best to your home renovation! I've missed a huge chunk of what's going on and it's time for me to catch up. The temporary setup during the ongoing construction seems like it will last quite a while if it's going to continue until July.
It happens. Welcome back 😃
Yeah it's a pretty big project. I hope the schedule doesn't extend further but you never know
Home renovations can be a trying time. I hope it goes smoothly for you, and that you have a pleasant stay with relatives.
Thanks. I appreciate it
The weekend must have really been heated time for you and hope you eventually had time to rest as that is very important
Yeah we found time for some rest and relaxation. Thanks 👍
