Today, I spent almost two hours thinking about what to write in my introductory post. It feels like when you walk into a class and the teacher asks you to give a short introduction suddenly panic sets in, and your mind goes blank 😂 But, first of all I'm really excited to be a part of this community and to share a little about myself.

About Me

Ah, so, my name is Lasma. I am from Karachi, Pakistan, and I’m 19 years old. I’m studying Computer Science at KIET University in Karachi, and I’m currently in my first year. I was previously an engineering student, so I don’t have a background in computer science, but I’m a fast and quick learner. I always try to learn something new in life.

I enjoy exploring and experimenting with new things, and I’m really excited to share more about myself through this post.

Hobbies And Interests

When it comes to hobbies, I really enjoy cooking, mainly because I love eating. I have a great passion for trying new things and making delicious food. It feels like a huge hobby of mine to watch new videos and just try and experiment with new recipes. But this doesn’t mean that cooking is my only passion no, not at all. I also love baking cakes, making sweets, and trying new desserts like mithai, cakes, brownies, and many other things.

Another hobby of mine is applying mehndi (henna). Mehndi is like art to me, and I really enjoy it. I often hold my sisters’ hands and start applying mehndi. I even look for new designs and techniques. I’ve practiced applying henna on and off for 1.5 years, but now I’m staying consistent with this hobby.

also have a great interest in planting, which is another hobby of mine. Every time I plant something new, I feel a strange sense of happiness. It’s not just a hobby it’s a beautiful tradition connected with nature. I love collecting plants, replanting them with new seeds, and taking care of them.

I’m someone who likes to go with the flow and doesn’t enjoy being stuck in one place. That’s why I keep updating my habits and interests over time.

Sports and Play

When it comes to sports, I’m one of the most active members in my family. I’ve been participating in sports since my school days, and I’ve won many competitions. The best thing about KIET University is that they really encourage sports. They have all kinds of sports here, but my main interest is in badminton.

I practice badminton with my friends every day and my goal is to be the part of the official KIET sports team.

Exploring And Finding My Way

This is my first year at university, and it’s a whole new environment with new places and people. Now, I want to explore Karachi on my own. I love traveling, but since I’m the youngest at home, I usually don’t go out alone except with family. Since I started university, I’ve had the chance to see new places and experience more of the city. In my first year at university, I’ve already discovered and explored many new places with my friends. I’m excited to continue exploring and sharing my experiences on Hive as I discover more in the future

Why I Joined Hive

The simple reason is that I’ve always loved writing journals since childhood. In this digital era, we’ve shifted to blogging. I enjoy writing, and when I found out that I could write blogs on Hive, I thought it was a great opportunity. It allows me to share new thoughts, ideas, and stories while connecting with others. I hope to find great people here and get a chance to learn more from others.
