Self-care is self-love.

Self-care is a general thing for almost everybody, but our approach is what makes the difference. Caring for myself is an important thing to me, and I take it seriously because it means so many things. I strongly believe that we can't give what we don't have, and if I claim or wish to care for people, it must start with myself. It is only when I care about myself that I can replicate the action to others.

Self-care is also self-love, and it is one of the few things we can do to appreciate ourselves. Self-care involves not just the physical beauty but the intellectual/mental well-being too. We can't be looking glamorous on the outside, with beautiful clothes, a nice set of teeth, and make-up, but our mental health is ruined.

Both our physical and mental well-being work together, so my self-care routine involves the combination of these two. I also ensure there is a balance so I don't get carried away with one, neglecting the other.

Sleeping and Resting.

These two activities don't require us to do anything other than just lie on the bed or anywhere we find comfortable. It requires zero cost, and it is one of the most effective routines for me. I don't always wait till I am tired before sleeping or resting; I do that at every available opportunity because it helps me relax, reboot, and recharge.

I have a fixed and healthy sleeping pattern; it is so easy, and the fact that sleeping is free makes it sweet.

Eating healthy

Eating healthy food does a lot of good to our body and brain, so I try as much as possible to avoid junk. I am a foodie, but many people don't believe it because of my stature. I don't eat a lot of food at a go, but when you sum up all my food at the end of the day, it's a lot.

Of course, I eat out, but strictly healthy meals. I always cook when I have all the time, but back at home, it is strictly homemade food. I enjoy eating fruits too; they are healthy for our body system.

Mental care.

Caring for my mental health is paramount to me, and the procedure isn't too much. I don't overthink or stress myself mentally; I try my best to keep away anything that would affect my mental health negatively.

I do little exercise by just walking around my environment, which doesn't take much time. The exercise helps my body and brain to relax; caring for myself mentally doesn't cost me anything.

Body care.

This is the best part for me, and I have been partial with the way I care for my body compared to my mental health. I spend more money on bathing with good soap, body cream, hair products, perfume, deodorant, and others. I love looking beautiful, and I invest in it very well.

Caring for myself has helped me to stay healthy; I look good, and my mental health is in a good state. My advice to those who don't take self-care seriously is that they need to change because how we take care of ourselves determines a lot of things about us.
