Let's take a minute to appreciate the Internet.

Electricity would have been the most valuable invention in the world, but according to history, it was discovered and not invented. Just like electricity is the power source for other inventions, I believe that the internet can also be considered something that adds the biggest value to every gadget or device we use in every part of the world.

Without the internet, digitalization would still be a dream or fantasy, but Vinton Cerf and Robert Kahn made it possible for us to do many things today.

I came to Lagos when I was tiny with my dad. I can't remember the year, but it was the time when there were so many cables on poles. I stared at the cables because I had never seen such a thing, and when I asked, my daddy said it was for the telecommunication company.

Those cables are no longer there and the street even looker cleaner without those cables. The internet made communication easier for us and its beautiful. From the comfort of our room, we can tour the whole world, easily acquiring knowledge and learning about others' cultures.

As students, we use the internet for online classes, studies, and even examinations. When learning and I don't understand something, I easily use the internet, and there are always lots of resources to learn from via the internet.

Before the era of smartphones, some phones weren't internet-enabled. Considering what we use our smartphones for now, those phones were boring, but they were the best back then until internet-enabled phones. Without the internet, smartphones would still be boring, and that is why the minute we run out of data or when the network is bad, we get bored of using our smartphones.

Without the internet in the bank, we would still be doing things the ancient way, when every transaction was documented manually. There is no way we would be doing transactions from the comfort of our homes, and we always have to go to the bank even just to withdraw a thousand naira. No buying of airtime or paying subscriptions—these things might look cheap, but they help us in numerous ways, saving us from stress and time wasting.

So many sectors, including the hospital, aviation, security, and others, wouldn't thrive well without the internet. Blogging on Hive or learning about cryptocurrency is only possible because we have the internet, so it's a big invention for us.

Lastly, let's look at how the internet has improved the relationship between countries, tribes, and cultures. Meeting foreigners here on Hive and learning about their culture wouldn't have been possible if there was no Internet.

Yes, the Internet made all the messy wires go away. Although they all went to the sea if I'm not mistaken. They became undersea cables.

Good post
Thank God for the Internet. Learning is easier and we could even monetize it just like here on hive

The Internet is indeed something to consider. I believe our cellphones wouldn't be much of an interest without it
