Liverpool - The Beatles
Nach London (mit einem Ausflug nach Brighton) ging es mit dem Zug weiter nach Liverpool.
Am ersten Nachmittag besuchten wir das Beatles Museum. Im Zentrum von Liverpool gibt es überall Musik: besonders auf den Straßen und aus den Pubs. Besonders präsent: Die Beatles, die aus Liverpool kamen. Dementsprechend gibt es auch unzählige Shops und zwei größeren Museen, die sich der Band widmen.
Souvenirs
Das Museum war mit etwa 20 € Eintritt nicht ganz günstig, für Beatles-Fans und -interessierte war es das aber schon wert.
Neben der Geschichte (historisch erzählt) gab es auch etliche Ausstellungsstücke dazu.
Eine Brille, die John Lennon bei einem frühen Auftritt kaputt ging. Er musste sich dann die Brille der Großmutter eines Kollegen ausleihen:

Und Kostüme:
Manche der Ausstellungsstücke konnten mich nicht so fesseln. Zum Beispiel wurden mehrfach Sitze/Stühle von danaligen Konzerten gezeigt. Nach dem Motto: "Das sind zwei der 40.000 Sitze, vor denen die Beatles am XX.XX.196X die folgenden 11 Lieder spielten: ..."
Alles in allem aber eine Erfahrung, die man in Liverpool machen sollte, wenn man die Beatles mag! :)
