Hello everyone! Thank you for visiting my blog. I want to share a tutorial for some bookmarks I made for the Summer Bible School we held in August at my local church.

Hola a todos!!! Gracias por pasar por mi blog y venir a visitarme. Quiero compartirles el tutorial de unos marcadores que elaboré para la Escuelita de Verano Bíblica que hicimos en agosto en mi iglesia local.

Materials and Tools

1. Ball of black yarn
2. Cardstock
3. Scissors
4. Door punch

Step by step

Step 1

My brother designed the bookmarks for me using a program on his computer. As you can see, they turned out very nice, alluding to the theme of the Summer Bible School, which was about recognizing God in small things, in nature.
I printed the design on white cardstock; there were 4 bookmarks on each page. I printed 50 pages for a total of 200 bookmarks.

Paso 1

Mi hermano me diseñó los marcadores en un programa en su computadora. Como pueden ver quedaron muy lindos, haciendo alusión al tema de la escuelita bíblica, que era acerca de reconocer a Dios en las cosas pequeñas, en la naturaleza.
Imprimí dicho diseño en cartulinas blancas, en cada página había 4 marcadores. Imprimí 50 páginas para un total de 200 marcadores.

Step 2

Cut out each bookmark and punch a hole at the top. It's simple but very time-consuming because there were so many bookmarks.

Paso 2

Recortar cada marcador y abrirles un hueco con la ponchadora en la parte de arriba. Es sencillo pero muy trabajoso, porque eran demasiados marcadores.

Step 3

For each bookmark, cut four strands of black yarn, the same length as the bookmark. Take these four strands together, insert them through the hole in the bookmark as shown in the photo, and then insert the ends that are pointing downwards through the loop that has formed.

Paso 3

Por cada marcador, cortar 4 tiras de estambre negro, de la misma longitud que el marcador. Tomar dichas 4 tiras juntas, meterlas por el orificio del marcador como se muestra en la foto y las puntas que quedan hacia abajo, insertarlas por el ojal que se ha formado.

Result

Since it was a lot of work and I had very little time, my parents helped me. They lovingly support all my projects. Several brothers and sisters from church also helped me finish the markers.
My greatest satisfaction was seeing the children's faces when they opened their goody bags and saw the marker. That made all the effort worthwhile.

Resultado

Como era demasiado trabajo y tenía muy poco tiempo, me ayudaron mis padres, quienes con mucho cariño me apoyan en todos mis proyectos. Además, me ayudaron a terminar los marcadores varios hermanos de la iglesia.
Mi mayor satisfacción fue al ver la carita de los niños cuando abrían su bolsita de regalo y veían el marcador. Eso hizo que todo el esfuerzo valiera la pena.
