Silence In The Lake - #ZapFic1OO
Hello Hive. ๐ I'm back again with another @drabble.club microfiction, that is #zapfic100, inspired by the prompt "in my line of sight" taken from @daily.prompt's post.

I rowed the boat faster, pulling and pushing the paddles.
"Tori! Please stop!" Haggai called from the shore, his brows furrowed with fear. He waved his hand but I rowed away from the shore and turned my gaze elsewhere. Still he remain in my line of sight, a lone figure silhouetted against the hues of the setting sun.
Some pains are best embraced alone. I stopped paddling and sat in the middle of the lake in silence.
I'd suffered a loss and wished the twilight would take the pain and bury it. With the sun's rising would come my healing.
