RE: A little DIY to save 70$ (Plus a new desk riser!)

When I looked at my previous purchases this time though, they wanted $74! For a mouse I bought two years ago for less than $50!

WTF SAME!

I looked up my crappy logitech office mouse and they want $92 Canadian Pesos for the latest model of it. It's a SUPER BASIC mouse whose only special feature is the infinite scrolling mouse wheel. Stuff is supposed to get cheaper as they iterate on it, not more expensive! Bring back the $10 dell mouse that you could run over with a tank!

RIGHT?! I was shocked to see it given that a lot of other hardware has either stayed comparable or gone down in price. Guess when this one finally kicks the bucket I'll have to upgrade to something that's going to at least let me justify $70-$90 LOL

Good lord and I thought inflation was bad down in California! Seriously shit like this is going to push people back to the days of quality where you buy something and you make it last a lifetime. I think @oblivioncubed just proved that route may be possible.

It definitely is getting wild as far as inflation (/orpo greed?) goes. But hey, as long as I can keep kicking some cost down the road it's a win for me I guess lol

I long for those days. My grandma's popcorn air popper she gave us finally died. And judging by the design of the unit that thing is circa 1970! My wife's blown through 2 modern air poppers in the last few years since old trusty gave up the go.
