Monomad: Golden-headed turtle

This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge.

I don't know where this creature came from, but what is certain is that it was in my yard this afternoon. For me this is a strange and small creature. Indeed, I have seen this type before but with a large shell.

I took several shots while the head was still outside, before inserting it into the shell. Because this creature is very allergic to touch, once touched it will reflexively hide its head inside.

I only got one sideways shot before hiding again. What a shy creature!

After I waited for a long time, it only took out half of its head.
Even so, it was an impressive guest this afternoon even though it was a little shy.
