Good for you! I'm a bit older and was really feeling it. The key for me was consistency. I started some Virtual Boxing with the MetaQuest VR headset back in December. I've really enjoyed it and started doing nearly every day. Went from barely making it 3 rounds, to now 5 or 6, and then still some walks with Betty and now swimming season about to start.
Without any real changes to diet (although find myself eating less and smaller amounts) except also cutting back alcohol to almost nil, I've gotten rid of 23 pounds so far. Definitely feeling better, more active and just happier overall. Starting to level off on the weight, but plan another 10 lbs. My wife bought me a fancy scale and Hume app that I just love. It provides so much detail on muscle content, fat content, metabolic age, etc. I just love all the detail it provides, along with the Fitbit watch and tracking app. I find the challenge of controlling the numbers interesting and engaging me to compete. Maybe I'll do a post on them.
Has taken my "metabolic age" from 70 down to 58, and I certainly feel like that type difference.
Keep at it and look forward to the progress posts!
That's pretty cool. I may take a look into that. I would rather buy medical gadgets that work like that than pay for scam medical insurance or go to a quack doctor. Hell, Grok told me more that actually made sense than any doctor has ever told me. My Apple Watch is another gadget that is helping keep me in check with heart rate and all that kind of stuff.
Good on you man! That's some great progress! I am already feeling a bit of a difference just getting rid of the old bloat and such.
