Barefoot on dust, he leans with grace,
A quiet pause in a restless place.
The stick, his witness—old and true,
To fields once walked and skies once blue.

His gaze turned back, but feet ahead,
Half in memory, half in tread.
Not lost, just slow, in his own time,
Each breath a verse, each stance a rhyme.
