THE PICTURE GIRL

Hi guys,
how are you doing today

Today I’ll be sharing with you a new artwork i created recently using ballpoint and charcoal on paper.

———— THE PICTURE GIRL ————

She lives in frames of frozen time,
A silent world, a still-life rhyme.
Her eyes don’t blink, yet seem to know
The dreams we hide, the tears we show.

A painted smile, a captured glance,
Forever caught in the photo’s dance.
The light that kissed her face that day
Still lingers, though she's far away.

No voice escapes her parted lips,
No warmth is felt in the fingertips.
Yet something in her pose remains
A quiet strength, a hint of pain.

Is she a memory, sweet and dim,
Or just a ghost of someone's whim?
A story locked in a shutter's hold,
A girl who never will grow old.

And as I stare, I start to see
The picture girl is part of me
A version left in yesterday,
Still waiting for the world to say
That even stillness has its grace
And even silence leaves a trace
