Today I’ll be sharing with you a new artwork i created recently using ballpoint and charcoal on paper.

Carrying the weight of silence
like a crown of unnamed fire
With which each shadow on my skin carved a memory I did not choose,
a story I was born to wear.

My eyes, half open, half gone,
still searching the shape of mercy
in my ceiling of cracks by years,
where even light
dares not fall too loud.

You see revolt
I feel surrender creeping in my shadows,
two mirrors in the same breath.
The truth rest heavily on the neck,
but I raise it,
because no one else will.
