Them, Always - LOH #242

There's something sacred about people who walk through our lives -not just pass by, but stay. The ones who sees us at our best and worst, who make ordinary days feel like a little more than survival. I think that's way, when I really sat with this question, my answer became clearer than I expected.

I'd chose to forget everything.... just to find my people again

Yes, even if it meant letting go of every memory I've made. The laughs, the tears, conversations.... gone. That's no small thing. Our memories shape who we are, they hold our lesson and carry our stories. And losing them? It would feel like losing myself

But losing them -the souls that feel like home, the ones I somehow circle back to- would be far worse.

Maybe in that next life, we wouldn't recognise each other. Maybe we'd meet under completely different circumstances, in completely different bodies, with no ideas of the bonds we once shared. But I believe something deeper would stir. A kind of pull. A moment of quiet familiarity that doesn't make sense, but feels right

And then we'd start all over again -laughing, fighting, understanding each other in ways that don't need to be explained. Building new memories

It's the connection that matters more to me than the knowledge of it

So yes.... I'd rather walk into a new life with empty hands, knowing they're somewhere out there, than carry all my wisdom into a world where they don't exist.

Because some souls....
They leave fingerprints on your heart, not your mind
And even if I forget their names, I know I'd feel the warmth of their presence again

Not everything needs to be remembered to be real.
Some things are simply feft.

And I'd rather feel my way back to love than just remember a life with it.
