Wat Phuttha Phrom Panyo, a peaceful temple mix beautiful among nature, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. This post, I take friends to see a temple in Chiang Dao District. This temple is called Wat Phuttha Phrom Panyo or Wat Tham Mueang Na. This temple is another famous place for meditation retreat in Chiang Mai. Wat Phuttha Phrom Panyo is therefore a peaceful temple mix beautiful. This is the reason I am planning to visit the temple, even though the temple is about 45 kilometers from my house. I visited this temple with my wife. When we arrived at the temple. We saw the temple sign first.

Wat Phuttha Phrom Panyo has 3 areas. The first area is at the bottom. This area is a place of worship. There is a lot of sacred architecture and sculpture in this area. This area is walled and has an entrance arch, made of bricks and spread cement on bricks. On top of the arch are two buddha images and the tierred umbrellas.

When we walked into the place of worship. On the right side is a buddha image in the attitude of subduing mara with tierred umbrella. And there is a buddhist pillar in front of this buddha image.

Beside the buddha image is a pagoda. This pagoda is a gold color pagoda. The base of the pagoda is a small buddha image hall. Inside the small hall, there is a buddha image in the attitude of subduing mara and two statues of monks. And decorated with carved wooden buddha images.

On the left side there is a large buddha image hall. This large buddha image hall is not yet complete. But we can walk inside the buddha image hall.

Beside this hall is a small pavilion. This small pavilion is beautifully built. Inside the small pavilion are statues of a noble monk.

In addition, on the courtyard of this place of worship there are many beautiful buddha images, statue of monk, statues and arch.

The side walls have many beautiful stucco and statues of angels.

This place of worship area also has buildings for meditation retreat. But we cannot enter this building. And it is also a viewpoint. The view in this area is of a local people's farm. Most of which are ethnic groups.

The second area of the temple. We walked up the low hill near the temple sign. On the way up the low hill (Reinforced concrete road) there are many trees that look like tunnels of trees.

The second area of the temple is a wide courtyard with many trees. On the second area of the temple, there are two buddha image halls (viharn).
The first buddha image hall (viharn) was built in the TaiYai art style, which looks unique. Inside the buddha image hall (viharn) there is a buddha image in the royal attire in the attitude of subduing mara.

The second buddha image hall (vihaan) is a buddha image hall (vihaan) built in the Northern Thai art style (Lanna art). The buddha image hall (viharn) looked very grand and beautifully decorated. We like and are fascinated by this buddha image hall (viharn). The entrance stairs to the buddha image hall (viharn) have two statues of angels in the attitude of protected by seven-head serpent, looks grand as well. And there is a statue of a monk.

Behind the buddha image hall (viharn) are two white elephant statues with a white monk statue and Brahma.

The inside of this buddha image hall (viharn) is beautifully decorated and grand as well. There are many buddha images in the royal attire in the attitude of subduing mara and statues of monks. All the buddha images are very beautiful.

Additionally, the courtyard has many large statues of monks too.

The third area of the temple is 3 caves on the mountain. Three caves are places for meditation retreat and religious ceremonies. There are 2 ways up to the cave.
The first way up to the cave is inside the building. The first floor of this building is a buddha image hall. Inside the hall are many buddha images.

We chose another way up to the cave. It's a staircase leading up to the caves. We like this way up because we enjoy nature.

We only stopped at 1 cave. Inside the cave is a hall for meditation retreat. So we don't want to disturb them. And not going to other caves.
