Visit Wat HuaiJo with traditional festival and religious ceremonies, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Today my wife and I have free time. So we planned to visit Wat HuaiJo in our district. Because today there are traditional festival and religious ceremonies at this temple. I intend to take everyone to see the temple and some of the atmosphere of traditions and religious ceremonies.
This temple is near our house. (Distance approximately 4 kilometers). Wat HuaiJo was allowed to be established as a temple in the year AD 1932 or 92 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in AD 1999 or 25 years ago.
Wat HuaiJo is along highway 107. The walls of the temple are different from most temples and are another highlight of the temple. The walls are made of small bricks but not plastered with cement. So we see small bricks of the wall. This wall was built similar to the wall of an ancient city in the past. And on the walls were statues of angels and statues of lions.

The second highlight is the ordination hall (ubosot). This ordination hall (ubosot) is built differently from other temples as well. The ordination hall (ubosot) looks simple but beautiful. And i think the ordination hall (ubosot) was built in the style of raw concrete. Decorate the pattern on just the doors, windows and and the edge of the roofs. The entrance staircase to the ordination hall (ubosot) have a statue with the body and head of the deity but the tail of a serpent.

The third highlight is the buddha image hall (viharn). This buddha image hall (viharn) is made of bricks plastered with cement and painted white. Decorate the buddha image hall (viharn) with Lanna art style patterns on the front, doors and windows. The front of the buddha image hall (viharn) is also decorated with oil paintings. The entrance staircase is a staircase with the serpent statues. And there are two lion statues next to the staircase.

The inside of the buddha image hall (viharn) is beautifully decorated, especially the patterns on the pillars and beams. There are also many oil paintings on the walls. And there are many beautiful buddha images inside the buddha image hall (viharn) too.
Today many people keep on coming to perform religious ceremonies with monks inside the buddha image hall (viharn). Therefore there were many people and monks in the buddha image hall (viharn).

The fourth highlight is the pagoda. The pagoda of this temple is tall and large. I think this gold color pagoda is taller than other temples I have visited.

Beside the pagoda is a small pavilion. Inside the pavilion there is the buddha images.

At the back of the temple is section containing the monks' living quarters. This area is a garden with the monk's houses, a large pavilion and statues.

Beside the temple there are many wooden houses.

Finally, some atmospheres of the traditional festival and religious ceremonies today.

There are many shops selling just traditional festival on this day too.

These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

🌏 Wat HuaiJo is located in Mae Kha Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Very nice temple with lots of visitors. This temple must be very popular! The old traditional architecture of the temple on the northern part is very classic and beautiful.
