Visit a temple and see the traditional lanterns of northern Thailand for the Songkran festival.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. This Friday, November 15th, Thailand is Songkran Festival. But now many places in my district are starting to prepare for this year's Songkran festival. Both government offices and temples. This week my wife and I had the opportunity to visit a temple by chance. We didn't plan to go to this temple. But when we finished sending our son and granddaughter to school. We stopped by the wet market and pass the temples. We saw a temple decorate Lanna lanterns in preparation for the Songkran festival. So we stopped by this temple first. Lanna lanterns are traditional lanterns of northern Thailand. Lanna lanterns are made from paper or from calico.
The area outside in front of the temple is decorated with many Lanna lanterns in many colors. These Lanna lanterns are made from calico. There is also another large Lanna lantern.
Inside the temple there are many Lanna lanterns made from calico too. Lanna lanterns come in many colors and look beautiful. My wife and I also bought Lanna lanterns and decorated them at the temple. We bought pink and blue Lanna lanterns.
We bought Lanna lanterns and decorated them at the temple.
Finally, before returning home, we also bought 3 Lanna lanterns to decorate our house.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
