My home garden #8 : Yardlong bean and food with yardlong bean.

Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. Yardlong bean are a very easy vegetable to grow and they are easy to care. In this post, I will take everyone to see yardlong beans in my home garden. I have grown yardlong beans in my home garden many times. The first time I grew yardlong beans was many years ago. At that time I bought yardlong bean seeds and planted them. Then I used yardlong bean seeds from old and dried yardlong beans (light brown yardlong beans) for planting other times.
Now in my home garden there are only 2 yardlong bean plants. I want to grow more of them but I don't have any seeds. My wife harvested them the first time 2 weeks ago. And 3 yardlong beans left to use as seeds. Today three yardlong beans are old and dry and are light brown color. So I picked 3 yardlong beans and peeled them to get the seeds to plant in the morning.

I prepared soil in 5 small plastic pots to plant yardlong beans. And there are some yardlong bean seeds left for planting next time too. Once I have prepared the soil, I plant the seeds in pots.

And put all the small plastic pots near the house. And water them with water and ohotosynthetic bacteria.

Food that uses long beans as an ingredient. In Thailand, yardlong beans are used as an ingredient in many dishes. Such as papaya salad, curry, clear soup, shrimp paste rice (Khao khluk kapi), Side dish to eat with shrimp paste dip or other dip, fry Thai pork cake and other. It can also be eaten fresh.

This morning my wife picked some yardlong beans in the home garden to use in her papaya salad and red curry too.

It is really helpful that we have planted vegetables in our garden. So that no need to buy.

I admire that you’ve continued the cycle by saving seeds from your own harvests. It's so satisfying about growing your own food.
