My home garden #3 : Jackfruit.
Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. My family has 3 farms. The first farm is in the home garden. The second farm is a longan orchard, it is about 600 meters away from the home. But it is in the community area of the village. And the third farm is a rice field, it is about 2 kilometers away from my home, outside the community. In this post I'm taking everyone to see my small home garden again. This time it's a fruit in my home garden, it's the jackfruit. I planted 3 jackfruit trees in the home garden. The first jackfruit tree I planted was almost 10 years old. The second jackfruit tree I planted was about 2 years old and the third jackfruit tree I planted was almost 1 year old. Each jackfruit tree in the home garden is a different variety. The first and second jackfruit trees bear fruit. And we can harvest them several times. Now we often eat jackfruit.
Peeling Jackfruit.
My wife will peel a jackfruit with a knife with spray the jackfruit with water. It prevents jackfruit sap on knife.
Foods that use jackfruit as an ingredient.
This fruit is very delicious when eaten fresh and it is also a fruit that can be used as an ingredient. In Thailand (my country), young jackfruit is popularly used in cooking in Jackfruit curry with pork, Young jackfruit salad. And its seeds can be boiled and eaten. The taste is similar to chestnuts, but jackfruit seeds are more bland than chestnuts. Jackfruit curry with pork is a dish my wife likes to cook when we have young jackfruit in the home garden. But we prefer to eat it fresh.
These are the stories and photos I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗

Thank you. Have a great day.
I miss eating Jackfruits or we call it Langka or Nangka in the Philippines. I told my Belgian father-in-law about it and told him some tropical fruits we have in Asia.
ชอบกินมาก ขนุนลูกใหญ่มากค่ะคุณโจ้ 😀
Jackfruits are so sweet. They can be expensive when bought in the city though. I like that we can actually boil the seeds and eat them for snacks. This post made me missed my hometown so much. Thank you for sharing.
Wow! Your garden is so abundant. I love eating jackfruit. My siblings would always rush to grab and fight whenever our papa gave us slices.
Delicious! I have not had fresh, ripe jackfruit for many moons. I hae used green jackfruit in recipe but never had the seed. I love that this fruit is so versatile and tasty.
