Our development is fueled by our consumption
Our growth, both physically and mentally, and spiritually is energized by what we feed ourselves, whether through food, drinks, fruits, or other means. Neglecting to nourish ourselves can lead to two main outcomes: stunted growth and, ultimately, death if we continue to starve ourselves.
It’s important to understand that we didn’t magically become who we are; it was a gradual process. Consider that those who have fallen into serious sexual immorality didn't just wake up one day in that state. They likely started with seemingly minor exposures, such as viewing suggestive images, which escalated over time to watching pornography, leading them to experiment with masturbation and further misdeeds.
This pattern holds true for notorious criminals as well; many began with minor acts like shoplifting and escalated to serious crimes.
The same principle applies to spiritual growth: it flourishes with consistent practices like prayer, fasting, reverence for God, and living righteously.
In my next content, we might explore ways to eliminate various forms of sexual immorality, crime, and more.
Therefore, it's crucial to be mindful of what we consume—our growth is directly influenced by our choices.
