RE: FACEBOOK MONETIZATION: HIVE NEEDS TO CHANGE TO SURVIVE

I personally find myself unsympathetic to what sounds to me like commercial content.

Basically the fact that mainstream social media sites such as facebook are paying more for commercial content implies to me that hopefully spawners of commercial content will hopefully take their commercial content over to such sites, leaving HIVE as a nice community-based venue which does happen to have rewards for community members but not so much reward as to entice spawners and purveyors of commercial content to flood us with their commercial stuff that, it seems, we will have ample opportunity to have to wade through on "mainstream" social media sites thus really have no need to also have to wade through it over here.

I upvoted your post not just because it was for me a useful heads-up from a fellow community member but also because it did indeed seem to be just that rather than some kind of commercial article to be spawned/spun for profit onto every paying mainstream site.
