Of course it is paid to win, that's the entire point of DPOS. The more stake the more you earn. It is the same with any staking system, be kind of silly if it wasn't.
Aye, but those grandfathered in from existing larimer projects had a voting pact, which given the tokenomics and distribution of the DPOS system.. basically means the only way to get any semblance of control or say in the network is to basically pump the whales bags.. The value calculus to most is gonna fall on it's face right there.
It is what it is.. But certainly isn't a selling point or valid method of chain security. :(
I might still have PTSD from the Sun Yuchen takeover in reguards to the chain consensus security getting hooped though. :/
