Work, work, work and nothing to show

Mehnnn, I have been there once. I have experienced a situation where I was very busy yet unproductive, and do you know the worst thing? I could not help the situation even when I noticed it, because there was no better option for me than to remain in the work that was always keeping me busy and yet unproductive.

Sometimes, if we have not experienced this kind of situation ourselves, we tend to feel that people who are going through it are not grounded enough in the basics of life or that they are dumb. But no, life can be very strange sometimes and can make things extremely tough.

You know that situation where you are employed, you put in all your effort, and at the end of the month, what gets into your hands as salary is just peanuts? And you cannot help it either, because you cannot leave or restructure the work system since it is not within your capacity.

I was working in an eatery, like I have mentioned countless times. I resumed work very early and closed very late, and the job spanned from Monday to Sunday without a break or even a little space to do other things. The routine was fixed: wake up, prepare, and leave for work, do the same thing all through the day, and return at night. Although on some days we were not very busy, there was still no space to engage in any other physical work.

The way I was never seen around the compound throughout those years made people think I must have been earning a lot and saving well for the future, but no—the work was just a passing phase with nothing substantial to show for it.

To me, whenever a job is very time-demanding, takes away the life of the worker (literally), and the pay does not match the effort put into it, then it is nothing more than being busy and not productive.

This example might earn me a knock on the head. Lol.

Just like this platform, Hive, a lot of us (maybe including me as well) are very busy but unproductive, and it is quite discouraging to think about.

Thanks for reading.

Thank kind of Job can be very frustrating. Especially when your tired to a corner where you can't leave that easily and staying isn't as productive as you want it to be. In such a situation,I would be actively searching for a better conducive high paying job while still managing thatbone for the mean time
