What I want this year | Nigeria Government

During last year, in 2025, there was chaos in my country, especially in the area of security. There was massive genocide and kidnapping, and it threw the country off balance. To make matters worse, the government was helpless; they could not do anything. It was all promises upon promises, with absolute sluggishness in taking action. But we also understand the tactics involved. They found it hard to act because it was very obvious that the people behind these acts were majorly from within the government itself.

One of the things I want the government to do this year is to take prompt and harsh actions against such acts, which will serve as a strong reminder to the perpetrators to stop these activities. The worst part of what happened last year was that the United States offered a helping hand—indeed, even issuing threats to the terrorists involved in the genocide—but the government rejected the help and said they were not interested. Later on, however, the help was accepted. I want more of that to happen this year. Let terrorism, genocide, and kidnapping be completely put to a stop.

Also, let there be a death penalty for anyone caught and found guilty, not the freedom of terrorists after they are apprehended.

Fuel at ₦500:

I know this looks impossible as things currently stand in Nigeria, but it is somehow possible as well. During the just-passed festive season, we saw that there was no hike in fuel prices, as we usually experience every festive period. That was a good move by the government. Although fuel prices have been fluctuating, most times the price is beaten down by a small deduction—and we all know that even a slight reduction in fuel price has a significant impact on how other things operate. If fuel is reduced to ₦500, the economy will experience a bit of relief compared to how tough things are right now.

Another thing I want my country to do this year is to lift the ban on crypto and reconsider the tax imposed on everyone.

Gosh! I am yet to completely imagine a situation where I receive a large sum of money through a business deal or a gift, and then a reasonable amount is immediately deducted and sent to the government’s revenue account. It truly sucks. Also, we have been living completely against our will when it comes to crypto usage, and it is very painful how the government imposed the law to regulate the country’s fiat currency and then practically forgot about the law afterward. I wish the ban could be lifted because, honestly, we go through too many stressful processes just to trade crypto, especially when converting crypto to fiat.

Thanks for reading.

It's this part I don't even understand. How'd you catch a criminal and let them go? In fact there are so many things I don't get about this our dear country. But we're remaining hopefully. They should allow us do our trading with less stress please.,
