To withdraw, you must make a deposit first

I have a WhatsApp group where we talk about money-hunting stuff such as airdrops, crypto, and referral things. The group is an open one where anyone at all can share good updates, and people who are interested will join.

There’s this guy who shared an updates week ago, and the stuff is about watching four 15-second videos daily to earn dollars and accumulate earnings until it reaches the minimum withdrawal requirement. Every day, this guy would post screenshots of credit alerts from people who earned $100 after ten days of watching four videos daily. He would advertise it so well like his life depended on it—he would make all the noise, with screenshots of his daily earnings and a countdown to his withdrawal day.

“Guy, with the way you’re advertising this platform, are you sure you’re not the owner?” I would ask him whenever his adverts on the group got too tempting. I asked him that question because I once operated a Ponzi site with some friends, and exactly what he’s doing is what we used to do, other than hunting for referral bonuses.

Today, being the D-day for this very much anticipated $100 withdrawal after spending ten days watching videos, he was welcomed by a prompt that read: “The free withdrawal is still available, but the user must make a deposit of at least $50 first...” After we all finished laughing at him in the group about how disappointing he must be feeling, the guy came to my DM to beg me to borrow him $50 to deposit because he was sure he was going to get the $100.

“Haaaaa! Are you alright? Are you sure you’re not under any enchantment? Your village people must be controlling you through their mirror right now.”

“Bro, I wouldn’t come to you if I wasn’t sure of this $100 withdrawal. I’ve been seeing payments and testimonies of others, and it’s real. They only implemented this compulsory deposit to make the platform last longer.”

His response made me believe that he was under some sort of enchantment—either by the owners of the platform or by his village people.

I left his last messages unattended because I didn’t know which method to use to convince him that once he deposits his money, everything will be gone and even $0.0000001 will not come back to him. He went on to meet others in their DMs. He couldn’t announce his need for help in the group to avoid people mocking him.

But actually, he was completely out of his senses because no one with full sense would go ahead to deposit such an amount of money in order to claim money that isn’t guaranteed.

To cut the story short, he finally succeeded in getting someone to lend him the money, and guess what—he deposited, was allowed to withdraw the $100, and was paid. Yes, he was paid $100.

I know you were expecting to read a negative ending. Well, life is not Nollywood. Good things happen too when we take uncalculated risks.

In case you’re interested in submitting yourself to kick your brain away and get on with this site, I can link you. Lol
